There are three approaches imposed by Regulating Authorities at international level, referring to the plant life extension assessment:

PSR (Periodic Safety Review), for the installations licensed for short limited time (2-5 y, Europe, Korea, India, Canada);

LRA (Licensing Renewal Application), for the installations licensed for design life time (30-40 y USA);

LRA-PSR, for the installations licensed for medium limited time (5-10 y, Spain).
